Visible Strategies launches stimulus SEE-ITs for Albuquerque and Richmond along with supporting Webinar

SEE-IT™ software puts Cities’ recovery plans and progress into pictures

VANCOUVER, CANADA, July 27, 2009  — Today Visible Strategies, provider of the world’s most visually-engaging performance management and communications software, announced the public launch of two clients’ stimulus recovery plans in Visible Strategies’ SEE-IT™ software. Now instead of using static, outdated, text-heavy Web pages to communicate how they’re spending American Recovery Act funds, the award-winning cities of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Richmond, California have taken it a step further and brought their stimulus spending plans and metrics to life on screen in the most transparent and engaging manner possible. With three clicks of a mouse button, internal and external stakeholders can see exactly what’s planned and what has been done with these federal funds – something the Obama administration pushed for early on when warning local governments they would be held accountable for how they spend their stimulus money.

“From San Francisco to Palm Bay, cities everywhere are using SEE-IT to manage and communicate their long-term planning,” said Colin Grant, CEO and Founder, Visible Strategies. “It’s rewarding to see our existing clients find new and timely uses for our software as they dynamically adjust in a fast-changing world.”

Albuquerque’s SEE-IT
“SEE-IT provides the ultimate in transparency, communicating the City of Albuquerque’s stimulus government spending to our staff, our citizens, and out to the world. The site presents a holistic view of our spending at the infrastructure level and then enables users to drill down to get more detail in areas of interest such as local impact on neighbourhoods. This will help to better the understanding of how stimulus impacts our lives,” said Danny Nevarez, Technical Program Manager II, Environmental Health Department for the City of Albuquerque.

The City’s stimulus SEE-IT can be viewed off of the recovery section of the City’s Web site at http://www.cabq.gov/recovery or directly at http://albuquerquestimulus.visiblestrategies.com/.

Richmond’s SEE-IT
“Using SEE-IT as our primary method for communicating how we are spending our economic stimulus funds ensures that staff and the public know exactly what we’re doing, when it needs to be done, and how we’re progressing when it comes to our infrastructure and program improvements made possible by this financial assistance,” stated Bill Lindsay, City Manager, City of Richmond. “SEE-IT clearly links our recovery performance to plan in the most exciting and effective way I’ve ever seen.”
Richmond’s stimulus SEE-IT can be viewed on their recovery Web page at www.ci.richmond.ca.us/stimulus or directly at http://richmondstimulus.visiblestrategies.com/.
