Visible Strategies inks deal with Live Earth
VANCOUVER, CANADA, June 17, 2007 — Live
Earth is a 24-hour, 7-continent series of 9 concerts taking place
on 7/7/07 that will bring together more than 100 music artists
and 2 billion people to trigger a global movement to solve the
climate crisis, and working to ensure that Live Earth inspires
behavioral changes long after 7/7/07.
Live Earth is holistically addressing the key areas of impact
of a large live event - including recycling and composting, food
and beverages, packaging, transportation, energy, water usage,
and the event site itself. In order to walk the talk at each city
and each venue, special emphasis has been placed on measurable
improvements. Our partnership with Live Earth is to help them
to do just that, and allow for the clear communication in tracking
just how green the event will be.
We are creating a see-it tool for Live Earth to use to promote
and track their performance towards carbon neutrality for the
event which they hope will be come THE event standard for global
events like the Olympics, Super Bowl, and the World Cup.
