Colin Grant
Founder and CEO

Colin has worked in the sustainability sector for over 15 years and early in 2000 recognised that there were no tools available that were capable of capturing the passion and energy people feel for sustainable development initiatives.  He decided to build a software tool that would allow organisations to both manage towards a sustainable future and to simultaneously and transparently engage, report to and inspire stakeholders.  The tool would allow people to describe the future they wanted, set goals for that future and then link the goals to strategies, actions and success indicators. All of this in a manner compatible with modern management practice such as the triple bottom line reporting, integrating social, environmental and economic initiatives.  see-it™ was the result.

A native of Scotland, Colin is an internationally recognized and award winning innovator, having received the John Logie Baird Award for business innovation in 1994 and the UK Government's Millennium Products Award for developing and commercialising a process that allows naturally occurring organisms to consume toxic waste products.

Colin is a regular conference speaker on sustainability issues and has worked as a strategic adviser to leaders worldwide at most levels of public and private sector governance, helping them to achieve meaningful, sustainable results in the face of the world's most difficult challenges. Colin is a Board Member of the International Centre for Sustainable Cities, a member of the Vancouver Mayor's Sustainability Council and the Vancouver Climate Leaders' Group.  He has coached top level athletes in his favourite sport of skiing and has inspired Scottish skiers to Olympic medal success.

Much of Colin’s inspiration and passion comes from his young son Jack and his commitment to create a better, more sustainable future for him.

David Wood
COO

David joined the Visible Strategies team in 2007 as Vice President Sales and within a few months took on the important role of Chief Operating Officer.

David has an extensive background with early stage technology companies in developing strategic business plans, raising investment capital, developing and executing sales and marketing plans and providing senior management leadership in high growth environments.

Since 1983, David has worked in senior roles with a number of Vancouver based technology companies including Colligo Networks as VP Sales, InSight on Demand Systems as President and CEO and Vision2Hire Solutions as CEO. He also contributes his experience and expertise by acting as an advisor and director for several local technology based companies.

David has a deep rooted interest in sustainability and takes a holistic approach to health and nutrition.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Ontario and when not in the office you are likely to find him on a local golf course.
